Would you like to take advantage of some of the great deals that are available online, but hesitate because you don't want to leave your credit card information "all over the net"? Then you should get a prepaid Visa or MasterCard. You decide how much money to load onto the card. That way you know exactly what you stand to loose should the worst happen (fraudulent/illicit webshop/site, legit shop have their information stolen, etc.). It's especially useful for trying out subscription based services. These often use recurring payments, and can be a pain to cancel. If you are not happy with the service, it will automatically be cancelled when the funds run out. Or, if you like the service you can either reload you prepaid card, or update you payment information with your "real" card.
